If you had asked me a few years ago if I’d ever start my own agency, I probably would have laughed and said something about loving my current job—which was true. I wasn’t looking for an escape hatch. I had great clients, a smart team and fulfilling work.
But somewhere along the way, I started wondering: What would it look like if I built something from the ground up?
When you spend enough time in this industry, you get to see a lot—the brilliant ideas, the near misses, the leaders who inspire you and the ones who teach you who you don’t want to be. (Fortunately, I have not experienced many of those.) Over the years, I have had the privilege of working under some incredible mentors who pushed me to speak up, to trust my instincts and to stay curious. They taught me that strategy matters, that creativity isn’t just about making things pretty and that the best partnerships are built on honesty—even when that means saying “no.”
At some point, the question stopped being Why would I do this? and became Why wouldn’t I?
So here we are. Reggie & Co. is my next chapter. It’s the agency I’ve always wanted to work for—thoughtful, creative, collaborative and a bit bold. Our goal is to deliver big-agency results with a small team that feels responsive and real.
Starting something new is equal parts terrifying and exhilarating, but I believe in what we’re building. I believe that the right team, the right ideas and the right relationships can make a real impact. And I’m grateful—to every boss who trusted me before I trusted myself, to every colleague who made the work fun (and taught me something along the way) and to every client who believed I could get it right.
I also believe that when it comes to great marketing, communications and creative, you shouldn’t have to choose between speed and strategy. Or between bold ideas and buttoned-up execution. Or between a team that challenges you and one that makes you feel heard.
These beliefs became a blueprint. And the lessons I’ve learned along the way are now the foundation of how we work at Reggie & Co.:
Lesson 1: Strategy & speed can coexist. A lot of people think you have to pick one: move fast or think deeply. But the best work happens when you do both. Being nimble doesn’t mean being reckless—it means having a clear strategy so you can make smart decisions quickly. At Reggie & Co., that balance is our sweet spot: smart solutions, delivered with the speed today’s world demands.
Lesson 2: Consistency & creativity go hand in hand. Creativity thrives when the ground beneath you feels steady. I’ve learned that being a consistent, thoughtful leader gives my team room to take risks and do their best work. Clients and colleagues should always know where we stand and why—that’s what builds trust and makes space for truly imaginative thinking.
Lesson 3: Saying “no” & staying collaborative are part of the same strategy. It took me years to learn this: saying “no” is not a barrier to collaboration—it’s a way to protect it. The right kind of partnership is built on honesty, even when that means pushing back. At Reggie & Co., we’d rather have hard conversations upfront than deliver something that isn’t right.
Lesson 4: High standards & human leadership create culture that inspires. I’ve seen agencies that value the work but burn out their people, and agencies that keep everyone happy but let the work slide. We’re building a different kind of team—one that expects excellence but never forgets that we’re human beings first. Great work is important, but so is the way we get there.
Lesson 5: Relationships & results should be equally strong. At the end of the day, this business is built on trust. We want our clients to know that we’re dependable, real and fully invested in their success. Yes, we deliver results—but we also deliver honest, dependable (and often enjoyable) partnership.
Creating my own agency is not about proving myself. It’s about taking everything I’ve learned—the good, the bad and the game-changing—and building something I believe in. That’s why, at the heart of Reggie & Co., is a simple guiding truth: clients shouldn’t have to compromise.
So here’s to what’s next: to the clients we’ll collaborate with, the ideas we haven’t dreamed up yet and the work that will surprise even us. Here’s to proving that our current and future partners really can have it all—insight and agility, boldness and precision, results and relationships.
Strategy & soul. It’s possible, and I can’t wait to see where it takes us.
